  • When do I need a Health and Safety Plan?
    Federal and state regulations mandate the development of site-specific health and safety plans for hazardous materials clean-up operations conducted at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites, as well as initial investigations at sites where the presence or absence of hazardous substances has yet to be determined. This requirement extends to clean-up activities undertaken at sites governed by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, sites subject to voluntary clean-up obligations, and operations involving hazardous waste conducted within treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) facilities (please refer to Federal OSHA's HAZWOPER standards: 29 CFR 1910.120(a), 1926.65(a), or applicable state regulations for additional guidance).
  • Do the HASP Manager plans satisfy regulatory requirements?
    HASP Manager's site-specific health and safety plans are designed to adhere to the OSHA HAZWOPER standards applicable to both general industry and construction settings. It is imperative to acknowledge that the user bears the responsibility for diligently completing all sections of the HASP. Incomplete sections may result in non-compliance with OSHA regulations. It should be noted that HASP Manager/Safety University cannot provide any warranty or assume responsibility for HASP compliance if sections are not fully completed in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • How do I am I able to create a plan on HASP Manager?
    Register for a free account. Each account receives a FREE initial credit for creating an inaugural HASP. To create additional HASPs, credits are required to be purchased. One credit is required to create a plan. All HASPs will lock after 60 days whereby no further edits can be made.
  • What if my state requires custom HASP components?
    The HASP Manager is in strict conformity with the Federal OSHA 1910.120 and 1926.65 standards, as well as with the majority of state HAZWOPER requirements in states that have approved state plans. Nevertheless, we are pleased to offer tailored solutions to fulfill any state-specific requirements. We invite you to reach out to us for further discussions regarding these customized options.
  • How can additional users be added?
    The Account Administrator(s) can add an unlimited number of additional administrators or users. Once a user account is created, they will receive an automatic notification with a temporary password.
  • Do purchased credits expire?
    No, credits purchased for HASPs do not expire.
  • Why am I unable to make edits to a HASP record?
    HASPs lock after 90 days from the initial creation date. If you are encountering an issue editing a HASP prior to the 90 days, please contact us and we will provide technical assistance.
  • Can I print a final copy of a HASP?
    Yes, you are able to download a PDF copy of your HASP at anytime.
  • How may I purchase credits?
    All credits are securely purchased online with a credit card. Invoices and purchase orders are not accepted. All purchases are final and no refunds will be issued for unused credits.
